Dr. Kristine Theurer is a researcher who is pioneering the use of standardized peer support and peer mentoring programs to address loneliness and social isolation in senior living. She is a published author of a number of research articles including the most downloaded article in the Journal of Aging Studies; 'The Need for a Social Revolution in Residential Care'. Kristine has completed her PhD at the University of British Columbia, leads training workshops and webinars in Canada and the US and presents regularly at international conferences. She has received numerous research awards including the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
Nik leads MyJava’s technical vision with a strong track record in voice technology, conversational interfaces, and AI-assisted prototyping. As CTO, he’s deeply hands-on—rapidly developing the MyJava MVP using AI-powered workflows to test, iterate, and refine the platform’s audio-first experience.
He brings years of experience designing and developing mobile applications centered on voice interaction, and is now expanding that expertise into telephony and smart speaker–style platforms as part of MyJava’s evolution.
